Temiskaming Shores is a city at Temiskaming Lake and is a nice city! The lake stretches to 100km and later becomes the Ottawa River. I visited the Pete’s Dam Park and it has such a unique history. In 1906 someone named Kalil Farah wanted to build a steam power plant to power the Town of New Liskeard. They bought a power plant and built a dam, in 1910 Farah sold the plant to Northern Ontario Light and Power Company and was later decommissioned around the 1920’s and was later made into this attraction! I also visited some trails around the city and had a great time!
